AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, will be one of the largest exhibitors at this year's Paris Airshow which is being held from 18th to 24th June at Le Bourget. AgustaWestland will have eight helicopters from its product range in the static display along with a major display of its training and support capabilities on show on the Finmeccanica stand in Hall 2A- N.D19.

Largest Range of Helicopters

From its military range of helicopters AgustaWestland will have on display an AW101 from the Italian Navy (Marina Militare Italiana) in anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare configuration. In the 5 to 7 ton category there will be the latest variant of the Super Lynx 300, soon to be delivered to the South African Air Force, and a military variant of the AW139 that is in service with the Irish Air Corps. Completing the line up of military helicopters will be an AW109 LUH of the Swedish Armed Forces, a 3-ton multi-role helicopter that is now in service in Malaysia, South Africa and Sweden.

Commercial helicopters on display will include the single-engine 8-place AW119 Ke in multi-purpose configuration and the best selling medium twin engine helicopter, the AW139, in offshore transport configuration. Two variants of the class leading Grand helicopter will be on display in EMS and corporate/VIP transport configurations. It was during the last Paris Airshow in 2005 that AgustaWestland delivered the first Grand and now has orders for over 160 aircraft.

BA609 Tiltrotor To Fly

For the first time at a major airshow Bell/Agusta Aerospace Company will demonstrate the BA609. The #2 prototype will participate in the flying display while a full scale mock-up will be located in the static display area.

NH90 On Display

NH Industries, in which AgustaWestland has a 32% share, will be exhibiting both military transport and naval versions of the new generation 10.6 ton NH90.

Training Capabilities

On the Finmeccanica stand exhibits will include AgustaWestland's Mission Support Demonstrator (MSD), a skeletal helicopter cockpit that enables Training and Command and Battlespace Management to be integrated into a single demonstrator. The MSD is provided with Apache or Lynx mission data from the Mission Planning System, and together show the company's expertise in Network Enabled Connectivity. In addition, the Exercise control 'EXCON' used in the Helicopter Collective Training System 'HCTS' will show how valuable training through simulation can be for advanced combined arms training of both aviation and ground forces. AgustaWestland will also be demonstrating its Helicopter Operator and Maintenance Computer Based Training systems

Finally the latest e-learning and simulation technology developed by AgustaWestland and its partners for the Bowman digital network-enabled land battlespace secure communications system and resilience training will also be demonstrated at Paris Airshow.

Integrated Customer Services

Two of AgustaWestland's Integrated Operational Support products will be demonstrated at Paris Airshow. The Enhanced Health & Usage Diagnostic System (EHUDS) is a deployable computer software application intended for use by aircraft operators and maintainers. The system provides tracking, management and recording of location and configuration of assets, together with the planning, packaging and recording of maintenance activities.

EHUDS is supported by the second product - Compound Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (C-IETP). This is a publications browser application that can be used either in standalone mode or linked directly to EHUDS, to provide the relevant technical publication data for the work procedure in hand. In combination, EHUDS and C-IETP provide aircraft operators with an intelligent fleet and maintenance management system.
