AgustaWestland And Kaigai Aviotech Corporation Sign Distribution Agreement At The Paris Air Show
AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, and Kaigai Aviotech Corporation of Japan are pleased to announce the signature of a distribution agreement at the Paris Air Show last week. Under the agreement Kaigai Aviotech Corp. will sell AW119 Ke, AW109 Power and Grand helicopters in the Japanese commercial market.
Speaking at the signing ceremony Masayoshi Yamazaki, Kaigai Aviotech Corp. CEO, said "We are honoured to be an AgustaWestland distributor in Japan and we will work together to establish a support and maintenance centre for AgustaWestland helicopters in Japan�.
Renzo Lunardi, Senior Vice President Commercial Business Unit, AgustaWestland said " Japan is an important and growing market for AgustaWestland's commercial products and we are pleased to have signed this agreement with Kaigai Aviotech to help us build on our current success in Japan.�
The AW119 Ke single engine helicopter as well as the AW109 Power and the Grand light twins have achieved great success in the commercial market worldwide, becoming the best selling aircraft in their respective categories. AgustaWestland is continuing to strengthen its market position in Japan and elsewhere around the world with a growing network of service centres in order to provide local support to its customers.
