Helivip Services Orders Three Helicopters And Is Appointed AgustaWestland Distributor In South Africa
AgustaWestland is pleased to announce that Helivip Services of South Africa has placed orders for one AW119 Ke single turbine engine and two Grand light twin helicopters. Furthermore, Helivip Services has signed a multi-year contract and distribution agreement which foresees the purchase of around twenty more helicopters including the AW119 Ke, the AW109 Power, the Grand and the AW139 models through to 2010. The contract and distribution agreement were signed at the Dubai Airshow.
The Grands will be produced at AgustaWestland's production facility located in Vergiate, Italy, while the AW119 Ke aircraft will be produced in Philadelphia, USA.
This distribution agreement further expands AgustaWestland's presence in the important South African market where its commercial products have been experiencing growing success in recent years, particularly in the VIP and corporate transport market.
