AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that Helicopteros de Guatemala has been appointed AgustaWestland Independent Sales Representative for Guatemala. This agreement represents one of the latest moves to strengthen and expand AgustaWestland's position in Central America.
Helicopteros de Guatemala has over 35 years of experience in the commercial helicopter market, specifically in the VIP/corporate passenger transport sector. In recent years, AgustaWestland market share in the Americas' has increased tremendously with strong sales of its entire range of commercial helicopters. The AW119 Ke single engine, the AW109 Power and Grand light twin, and AW139 medium twin turbine helicopters have achieved great success for a number of applications including offshore transport, VIP/corporate transport, emergency medical service, law enforcement, scheduled service, and government roles.
The AW119 Ke is AgustaWestland's answer to worldwide current customer demand for a high performance, modern, multi-role single-engine helicopter. The AW109 Power is a highly versatile twin engine helicopter that is used for commercial and public service missions and has exceptional levels of performance with low operating costs. A new intermediate size helicopter with light twin economics developed to meet a variety of market requirements, the Grand, provides levels of cabin space and payload that until now could only be met by larger, more expensive helicopters. The AW139 is a new generation medium twin helicopter setting new standards against which all new medium twins are measured.
