Fittipaldi Aircraft Signs Dealership Agreement For Ten AgustaWestland Helicopters
AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that Fittipaldi Aircraft has signed a dealership agreement for ten AgustaWestland helicopters including nine Grand light twins and one AW139 medium twin helicopter for VIP transport applications. Under this agreement Fittipaldi Aircraft will act as a non-exclusive dealer to the US VIP helicopter market, working in close coordination with AgustaWestland Philadelphia and its established sales force. Deliveries are planned to take place in 2011 and 2012. The AW139 will be assembled at AgustaWestland's newly expanded facility in Philadelphia, PA, along with customization of the Grand helicopters. This agreement represents one of the latest moves to further strengthen and expand AgustaWestland's position in the US helicopter market where its range of products have experienced growing success for a number of missions.

The Grand is a top-of-the-range light twin helicopter offering high performance capabilities, space and payload, previously only associated with larger helicopters, whilst retaining attractive light twin economics. Typical roles include executive/VIP transport, emergency medical services (EMS) and offshore transport. The Grand has set a new standard in the VIP/Corporate transport market, featuring outstanding qualities in terms of comfort and stylish interior solutions while offering the highest performance, including full Cat. A/Class 1 capability enabling it to operate from elevated helipads. Orders for over 270 helicopters have been placed by more than 140 customers in over 30 countries worldwide. The AW139 is a new generation medium twin-turbine helicopter setting new standards in the medium twin market. Designed with multi-role capability and flexibility of operation, the AW139 is capable of carrying up to 15 passengers at the highest speed, in the most spacious cabin and with the best power reserve of any other helicopter in its class. The AW139 can be used for a number of applications including executive/VIP transport, EMS/SAR, offshore transport, law enforcement and government roles. Almost 120 customers in over 40 countries have ordered more than 430 AW139 helicopters.
