J&S Franklin Limited, manufacturers of DefenCell, will be exhibiting at Military Engineering 2010, and offer any of their customers a 15% discount on their Conference Registration Fee.
Demonstrations of DefenCell, a multi purpose force protection system, will take place in the Display Area at Military Engineering 2010, which is due to be held at Bayerischer Hof, Munich, Germany, from the 26th to the 28th January 2010.
DefenCell's cellular design, combined with the latest geotextile construction technology provides strength, versatility and simplicity. DefenCell is ideal for Ballistic protection and Blast Mitigation as well as deployment for Shelter Compartmentalisation and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation barriers. Significant advances in UV resistance have been tested to show extended durability in extreme conditions. It is air-droppable, man portable and its non-metallic structure means it generates no secondary shrapnel and can be safely pushed off the back of a lorry with no risk of damage.
DefenCell is currently on operational deployment in Afghanistan with the British Army, where it is protecting vital ammunition supply points in two separate locations at Camp Bastion in Helmand province and Kandahar Airport, a number of US bases, and in Chad and Somalia with Eurocorps and African Union forces, where it continues to meet the exacting requirements of operational troop and equipment protection in hostile environments.. It is also deployed in facilities protection and training roles in the UK for the MoD and the Security Services
