Satair Group and Saft enter into new battery service programme agreement

Satair Group, a world leader within the commercial aerospace aftermarket, and global leading battery manufacturer, Saft, expand their partnership with an agreement that will facilitate the service and repair of the Saft nickel-based batteries in the field. The programme, referred to as the Battery Maintenance Programme for Airbus Helicopters (BMP), will add value to the Saft product.

Under the terms of this select agreement, commencing April 30, 2016, Satair Group and Saft will be supporting Ni-Cad service and repair of EC120, EC130, SA350, EC135 and EC145 helicopters.

Satair Group's BMP service covers warranty, periodic service per the CMM and parts replacement all while providing high product reliability and low cost of ownership.

Ralph Concha, Product Manager at Satair Group comments: "We are very excited to enter into this partnership which strengthens the good relationship we have established with Saft throughout the years. The co-operation between Satair Group and Saft will bring benefits to operators by decreasing the total cost of ownership and increasing battery life expectancy."

Concha ends: "This Battery Maintenance Programme will allow customers to fully benefit from the Airbus Helicopters-approved nickel based battery by providing a convenient way to service the unit in the field while offering significant savings. Along with pre-paid shipping and an extensive loaner pool, the customers also benefit from lower cost for maintenance via our certified Saft battery shop."
