Award-Winning Airline Promotes Five Star Service At French Exhibition

ward-winning Qatar Airways, one of the fastest growing airlines in the world, is showcasing its Five Star hospitality at Top Resa, the leading French travel trade exhibition taking place in Deauville this week.

Top Resa provides the crème de la crème of the French travel industry to establish new business and forge existing relationships with partners across the aviation, hotel and cruise sectors worldwide.

The three-day event, taking place at the Hippodrome de la Touques, between September 22 - 24, will feature a dedicated Qatar Airways stand manned by sales and marketing staff.

Top Resa also provides Qatar Airways with an opportunity to strengthen ties with major businesses within the travel and tourism industry. Qatar Airways will be raffling tickets on the stand giving a lucky winner the chance to sample the airline's award-winning service to Dubai.

Qatar Airways currently flies daily between Doha, the airline's operational hub in the State of Qatar, and the French capital, Paris. The airline operates a three-class state-of-the-art Airbus A330 on the Paris route.

Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said Top Resa will help raise the airline's profile in the French market.

"We are spreading our Five Star message across the world and France is no exception as we expect a stream of visitors to attend Top Resa over what will be an extremely busy and fruitful three days, he said.

"Qatar Airways is growing at a phenomenal pace, opening up new routes and adding many new aircraft every year.

"By attending this exhibition, it gives us an opportunity to build and strengthen our relationships with existing trade partners and develop business with new ones.

Qatar Airways currently operates scheduled flights from Doha to 66 destinations across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Indian sub-continent and the Far East. The Kenyan capital Nairobi will be added to Qatar Airways' route network on November 15, followed by Berlin as the airline's third German destination on December 15.

The airline operates a fleet of 41 all-Airbus aircraft which will almost triple in size over the next 10 years to 110 aircraft. In June, Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker announced plans at the Paris Air Show for the airline to acquire up to 80 aircraft, comprising 60 of the new generation A350s and 20 Boeing 777s worth a total US$15.2 billion.
